Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: For most posts, candidates must have passed the SSLC (10th) Public Examination or its equivalent, with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary courses. Typist and Steno Typist posts require a pass in the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting / Shorthand, as specified post-wise in the notification. A few Junior Assistant posts require a degree. Candidates must check the post-wise qualification in paragraph 4.2 of the official notification before applying.
Age Limit as on 01 July 2026: Minimum age is 18 years for most posts and 21 years for Village Administrative Officer, Forest Watcher and Forest Guard. The upper age limit varies by post and by community, with relaxation as per Tamil Nadu Government norms. Candidates must confirm the age limit for their chosen post and community from the official notification.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern
Selection is based on a single written examination, followed by Document Verification and Counselling. There is no interview for any Group IV post.
The written examination is a single OMR paper of 200 questions carrying 300 marks, to be completed in 3 hours. Part A is the Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test (100 questions, 150 marks, SSLC standard). Parts B and C cover General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability (100 questions, 150 marks). Parts B and C are evaluated only if the candidate scores at least 40 percent (60 marks) in Part A.

- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you are not already registered.
- Log in, select the Group IV Services examination, and fill personal, educational and other details.
- Select the applicable post option, upload the photograph, signature and documents as specified.
- Pay the applicable fee online, preview the form carefully, and submit before 05 November 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Save a copy of the submitted application. Use the correction window (09 to 11 November 2026) for permitted changes.
