The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Admit Card 2026 for the first stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I) under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 01/2026. The e-call letters began appearing on 30 October 2026 on the regional RRB websites and the common candidate login portal. The CBT-I is scheduled for 3, 4 and 5 November 2026, and the recruitment covers 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies across Indian Railways. Around 8,40,944 candidates are reported to be appearing for the CBT-I, so candidates should download their hall ticket as soon as it is live for their exam date and verify every detail printed on it.

Admit Card Release Schedule: Staggered by Exam Date
This is the detail candidates most often get wrong. The RRB notice dated 23 October 2026 said e-call letters would be available about four days before each candidate exam date, and the release is following exactly that pattern. The admit card is not released for all candidates on a single day.
| CBT-I Exam Date | E-Call Letter Available From | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 3 November 2026 | 30 October 2026 | Released — download now |
| 4 November 2026 | 31 October 2026 | Rolling out today |
| 5 November 2026 | 1 November 2026 | Expected tomorrow |
Reports on 30 October 2026 confirm the e-call letter links went live on the websites of RRB Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Malda, Muzaffarpur, Kolkata and Chandigarh, among others. If your exam is on 4 or 5 November and your link is not active yet, that is normal under the staggered schedule — check again on the date shown above for your exam day. Do not conclude from another candidate admit card that yours has been delayed.
CBT-I Exam Schedule and Shifts
The CBT-I is held on three days, 3 to 5 November 2026, in computer-based mode. The reported shift timings for the examination are 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Your own admit card is the final authority for your date, shift, reporting time and centre address — if any tracker page or another candidate schedule differs from what is printed on your hall ticket, follow your hall ticket.
City slip versus admit card: the exam city and date intimation slip released on 24 October 2026 only tells you the city allotted to you, about ten days before your exam date, so that you can plan travel. It does not carry the exact centre address and it cannot be used to enter the examination hall. Only the e-call letter (admit card), downloaded from the candidate login, is accepted at the gate.
How to Download the RRB ALP Admit Card
- Visit the official website of the regional RRB you applied to, or the common RRB portal at rrb.indianrailways.gov.in, and open the candidate login at rrb.digialm.com.
- Log in with your Registration Number and Date of Birth (and password, where asked), plus the captcha shown.
- Open the e-call letter link for CEN No. 01/2026, Assistant Loco Pilot, CBT-I.
- Download the admit card and take two or three clear printouts.
- Check your name, photograph, exam date, shift, reporting time and centre address on the printout. If the photograph or any detail is wrong, contact your regional RRB helpdesk immediately through the helpdesk link given in the 23 October 2026 notice, rather than waiting until the exam day.
RRBs do not send physical copies of the admit card by post. Every candidate must obtain the printout from the official website, and the admit card link for a given exam date is activated only a few days before that date.
Documents to Carry and Exam-Day Instructions
Carry a printed copy of the e-call letter and a valid original photo identity proof to the examination centre — entry without the admit card is not permitted. Reach the centre well before the reporting time printed on your admit card, since late entry rules are applied strictly in computer-based examinations. Read the instructions printed on the admit card carefully, including the list of permitted and prohibited items, and follow the invigilator directions at the centre. Keep your registration number and login credentials safe until the whole recruitment process is over, because later stages use the same login.
After CBT-I, the selection process continues with the later stages notified under CEN No. 01/2026, including CBT-II, the aptitude test for Assistant Loco Pilot, document verification and medical examination, as applicable. Candidates should keep checking their regional RRB website for CBT-I answer key, result and CBT-II updates, and preserve the admit card and application details until the recruitment process is complete.

Q6. What should I carry to the RRB ALP exam centre?
A printed e-call letter and a valid original photo identity proof, and arrive before the reporting time printed on the admit card.
