Bank of Baroda has opened applications for 837 experienced professionals in its Wealth Management Services department. This is not a fresher drive. Every one of the five posts is contractual, fixed-term, and asks for hands-on experience in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management. If you already work as a relationship manager in a bank, a broking firm, a securities firm or an asset management company, this is a large, single-window opportunity. The online window opened on 4 November 2026 and closes on 24 November 2026, and the fee must be paid by the same date.
The advertisement number is BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/20, dated 4 November 2026. All 837 vacancies are provisional, which means the bank can change the numbers as its requirements change. Candidates can apply for only one post. If you submit two applications, only the latest complete application is kept and the other fee is forfeited, so choose your post carefully before you pay.
Bank of Baroda WMS Recruitment 2026: Overview
Bank of Baroda is one of India’s large public sector banks, and its Wealth Management Services department handles high-value clients who need advice on investments, portfolios and financial planning. The five posts in this drive are designated Officer on Contractual Basis, with titles ranging from Deputy Manager to Assistant Vice President. The engagement is for an initial period of five years from the date of joining, and the bank may renew it for up to five more years if performance is satisfactory, at its discretion. The engagement ends at age 60 or at the end of the contract, whichever comes first.
Posting can be anywhere in India. Candidates should apply only if they are willing to serve at any location the bank decides. The bank also reserves the right to cancel the whole recruitment at any stage, and any change will be published on its website only.
Vacancy Breakdown: Post-Wise Seats
The largest share by far is for Senior Relationship Manager, with 791 of the 837 seats. Territory Head has 35 seats, Group Head has 8, Investment Product Manager has 2 and Head Investment has 1. The category-wise split is published post-wise in the notification, and the PwD seats are counted inside the category numbers, not on top of them. Head Investment and Investment Product Manager have only Unreserved seats, so no seat in those two posts is reserved for SC, ST, OBC or EWS candidates.
| Post | Level | Vacancies |
|---|---|---|
| Senior Relationship Manager | Deputy Manager | 791 |
| Territory Head | Assistant Vice President I | 35 |
| Group Head | Assistant Vice President II | 8 |
| Investment Product Manager | Assistant Vice President I | 2 |
| Head Investment | Assistant Vice President II | 1 |
| Total | 837 |
The category totals across all five posts are: Unreserved 346, SC 124, ST 61, OBC 224 and EWS 82, with 35 PwD seats included within those figures. Before you apply, check the row for your chosen post, not only the total, because the reservation position is different for every post.

Age Limit and Relaxation
Age is counted as on 1 November 2026, and the limits vary widely by post. Group Head and Head Investment carry an age band of 35 to 50 years. Territory Head is 28 to 42 years. Investment Product Manager is 26 to 45 years. Senior Relationship Manager, the post with most seats, is 24 to 35 years.
Upper-age relaxation follows government norms: 5 years for SC and ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and 10 to 15 years for PwBD candidates depending on category. Ex-servicemen with at least five years of military service get relaxation of 5 years for General and EWS, 8 years for OBC and 10 years for SC and ST. Relaxation applies only to posts where reservation seats exist. Candidates from the creamy layer, or whose caste is not in the Central List, get no OBC reservation or relaxation and must apply as General. There is no reservation for ex-servicemen in the officers’ cadre.
Eligibility and Experience
Every post needs a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India, government bodies or AICTE. What separates the posts is experience and certification. The experience must come from public, private or foreign banks, broking firms, security firms, asset management companies or the wider financial services sector.
Group Head needs 12 years as a relationship manager in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management, including at least 5 years as a team lead for relationship managers, and no mandatory certification is listed. Head Investment needs 10 years in direct investment roles, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role handling products such as mutual funds, SIF, AIF and PMS, research and advisory, SEBI compliance or business development, plus any one of NISM V-A, NISM V-D, NISM XIII or NISM Series XX-I-A. Territory Head needs 8 years as a relationship manager in the same fields, with no mandatory certification listed. Investment Product Manager needs 5 years as a relationship manager, including at least 3 years as an investment counsellor in wealth management, plus one of the same NISM certifications. Senior Relationship Manager needs 3 years as a relationship manager in the same fields, plus NISM V-A or NISM V-D and/or IRDAI IC38 certification.
Three kinds of experience will not be counted: experience of less than six months in any one organisation as on 1 November 2026, experience in a clerical cadre, and teaching and training experience. Preferred qualifications for all five posts include a two-year full-time postgraduate degree or diploma in management, an MBA in Finance, Marketing or Banking, CFP, CFA or equivalent. Candidates must be Indian citizens, or fall in the other categories the notification lists, such as subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, who need a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.
Salary and Contract Terms
The notification gives no fixed pay scale and no CTC figure. This is important to understand before you apply. Remuneration will be offered based on your qualification, experience, overall suitability, your last drawn salary and the market benchmark for the position. In the bank’s earlier wealth management drives, pay was market-linked rather than fixed, and the same approach applies here. Do not treat any salary figure quoted by unofficial sources as an official promise. The contract runs for five years initially, with a possible renewal of up to five more years, and ends at age 60 or at the end of the contract, whichever is earlier.
Selection Process
Selection starts with scrutiny of applications and shortlisting on qualification, experience, domain expertise and suitability. The bank may then conduct an online test and a psychometric or other test, but only if it decides to do so. The personal interview is the decisive stage. Minimum qualifying marks in the interview are 60 percent for General and EWS candidates and 55 percent for other reserved categories. Candidates scoring below the minimum for their category are left out of the merit list, and any online test marks are then ignored.
The bank has not published an exam pattern, syllabus or marking scheme, and it says it can add, change or cancel any selection stage. Meeting the eligibility conditions does not guarantee an interview call, and the shortlisting criteria are kept confidential. If two candidates tie on the cut-off mark, the older candidate ranks higher. Court cases, if any, can be filed only in Mumbai.
How to Apply Step by Step
- Open the Bank of Baroda careers page at bankofbaroda.bank.in and go to Current Opportunities.
- Register with your own active email ID and mobile number, and keep that email active until the process ends, because interview calls go to the email you enter.
- Fill in the form for one post only, and upload your resume, photograph and signature.
- Upload proof of date of birth, education, experience, category and PwBD certificates where they apply, along with salary slips and a CTC break-up.
- Check every detail carefully, because nothing can be edited after you click Submit, and an incomplete application or an unsuccessful fee payment is not valid.
- Pay the fee online and submit, then print the e-receipt and the application form.
Documents must be PDFs of up to 500 KB. The photograph should be a JPG of 20 to 50 KB and the signature a JPG of 10 to 20 KB in black ink; a signature written in capital letters is not accepted. Serving employees of government, quasi-government, PSU and nationalised banks must carry a No Objection Certificate at the interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered. A ration card is not accepted as photo ID proof. Requests to change centre, venue, date or time are not entertained.
