Selection Process
Selection will be done through the following stages:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) – a screening test common for all posts. Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage on merit.
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2) – the merit-deciding test, on the basis of which candidates are called for document verification.
- Document Verification – original certificates and eligibility documents are checked.
- Medical Examination – candidates must meet the medical standard prescribed for the post (for example B-2 for Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, C-2 for the clerk posts and A-3 for Trains Clerk).
Note on typing test: Trackers report this differently for CEN 07/2026 – some mention a typing/skill test for the clerk posts, while another reports that the typing skill test has been dispensed with for this notification.
